Charming, laidback Picton is the starting point for many Marlborough Sounds Adventures. Explore the sheltered waterways, sea kayaking, walking or simply view the wonderful scenery of the Queen Charlotte Sound from one of the many launch services available.

The Queen Charlotte Track

Local Cruise Company
The Queen Charlotte Track is known as one of the South Islands best walking tracks, situated a short boat ride from Picton. If you enjoy walking, Picton has many short local walks for you to enjoy. Dolphins and seals are frequently seen in this boating paradise.
The experienced Launch operators offer daily services that visit remote properties in this tranquil and peaceful waterway. Our Picton foreshore offers safe swimming, children's playground, mini golf, a museum along with waterfront cafes for your enjoyment.
A pleasant twenty minute drive from Picton is Marlborough's vineyards, some offering tastings, restaurants and cafe style dining.
Whilst in the Blenheim area a visit to the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre, having the world's largest collection of First World War planes is highly recommended.
